4/1 - 4/30 - New 5-week Gentle Yoga Series with Stephanie Somers
We are happy to welcome a new teacher to the studio:
Stephanie Somers, 200-hr
My yoga practice began in 2002 when I attended a class on a whim. I found yoga made me feel better. I didn’t even know it was possible. I’ve been practicing ever since.
In 2010, I received my 200-hr yoga teaching certification from Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Center. My teaching focuses on asana alignment married with pranayama and mindfulness. My classes invite practitioners to explore the self through a multitude of yoga techniques. My hope is that students leave class being renewed by these practices of deep self-care. It is through this care yoga practitioners find well-being and know a deeper sense of self.
After twenty plus years of practicing yoga there’s been other gifts: growth of the heart, broadening of awareness, a grounded calmness. Yoga has made me kinder. I’ve gained in appreciation of my surroundings. I’ve gained in my ability to see beauty. There is presence. Being in the moment is beauty. I continue to explore the depths of yoga particularly where Indian and Tibetan yoga meet.
